Two ways to the ECOCAMPING award
To be awarded the ECOCAMPING certificate, you can choose between two certification routes:
Certification with on-site consultation
Accompanied certification with comprehensive, personalised advice on site in advance
Online-Certification
Independent, digital process
Regardless of the certification procedure you choose, you will receive the award upon successful completion and become part of the ECOCAMPING network for at least three years
Certification process
Initial consultation (if required)
We visit you at your campsite, get to know you and get you ready for certification together
Certification
Processing of the criteria catalogue, preparation of the documents, as well as inspection and auditing by ECOCAMPING within 18 months
AWARD
After successful certification, the ECOCAMPING award is presented to the campsite
Network
After successfully receiving the award, the campsite becomes part of the ECOCAMPING network for at least three years

ECOCAMPING Award
Upon successful completion of the certification process, the camping operation receives the ECOCAMPING award.
How to keep the ECOCAMPING certificate
The demonstrable and continuous implementation of improvement measures is essential for the validity of the certificate
- Implementation of further measures & continuous optimisation of resource consumption in particular
- Annual reporting of consumption figures
- Audit every 3 years (recertification)
- Participation in the network and further training
ECOCAMPING Network
Regardless of the chosen certification procedure, you will receive the award after successful completion and become a binding part of the ECOCAMPING network for at least 3 years. The aim is to ensure sustainability management, company success and quality in the long term, and to continue and promote the exchange of experience between campsites.
Licence for logo use
Labelling in all major camping guides and online portals
Support in drawing up the new action plan for the subsequent period
Listing on ecocamps.eu
Regular network newsletters
Audit every 3 (remote, on-site if required)
Participation in seminars and network meetings
Commenting on consumption figures (in the first 3 years, thereafter as required)
ECOCAMPING flag & board, guest flyer and weatherproof adhesive signs* for recyclable materials
