Who we are
ECOCAMPING is a European initiative that supports campsites in establishing environmental and sustainability management systems in accordance with a defined standard.
ECOCAMPING helps campsites to make their sites and facilities more environmentally friendly and resource-efficient compared to their initial state.
For more than 20 years, ECOCAMPING has been advising and supporting camping businesses in establishing and further developing environmental and sustainability management systems, including in the areas of energy and water efficiency, waste prevention, biodiversity and fair working conditions.
Our aim is to combine environmental responsibility, social fairness and economic stability in camping tourism – this integration of economics and ecology is the fundamental principle behind ECOCAMPING.
We are a European initiative that has been supporting campsites for more than 20 years in introducing and developing environmental and sustainability management systems. ECOCAMPING helps campsites to conserve resources such as energy and water and to reduce their environmental impact. So that, together, we can keep improving!

ECOCAMPING Award
ECOCAMPING awards the ECOCAMPING certification to campsites that meet the ECOCAMPING standard, with its binding criteria relating to environmental protection, nature conservation, resource conservation, management and social responsibility.
ECOCAMPING Network
All campsites with the ECOCAMPING certification form part of the ECOCAMPING network. For this network, ECOCAMPING regularly organises seminars and workshops, produces specialist information, offers support on current issues and fosters communication and the exchange of ideas amongst members.
